Indorama and Avgol will discuss the growing opportunity for nonwovens in the automotive manufacturing industry during a series of presentations at ANFA Nonwovens Conference 2019.
Taking place November 6-8, the conference in New Delhi brings together members of the nonwovens sector to propel the trade forward and foster deeper inter-business relations across the supply chain. A number of key industry players have been invited to deliver presentations on the development of the material, market and applications at the event.
Indorama Ventures PCL (IVL) is a global integrated leader in PET, recycled PET, fibers and filament yarns serving major customers in diversified end-use markets.
Avgol Nonwovens, a global leader in the manufacture of high-performance spunbond/spunmelt nonwoven fabric solutions, will be presenting on the rapidly expanding role of highly functional nonwoven fabrics, within the automotive industry.
With statistics indicating that India, China, Japan and South Korea together manufactured just under 40,000,000 automobiles in 2018 – an equivalent of more than 36,000 units per day – the two companies aim to highlight the burgeoning opportunity for nonwoven fabric applications in this industry along with the heightened need for sustainable consciousness within the nonwoven business cycle.
Nick Carter, Director of Market Business Intelligence and Intellectual Property at Avgol, commented: “We look forward to addressing our industry peers at ANFA 2019 and sharing some of our experience and thoughts on the current state of play. There’s a great deal of potential for advanced nonwovens to explore in the automotive industry, particularly in the Asia-Pacific market that manufactures in such enormous quantities and across so many regionalized needs.”
“With this potential, however, comes a greater focus on environmental clarity; sustainable practices are central to our forward innovative thinking strategy and how we operate within the IVL family of companies. We look forward to sharing our experience for the advancement of the industry as a whole.”
ANFA Nonwoven Conference 2019 takes place at Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel, New Delhi, India.
